What to bring
On the flight to your stream, you are limited to 75 pounds of gear per person. This is very critical, so please pack only what is necessary. Bearing this in mind, we have provided a list of items you will need to bring.

Sleeping Bag (Rated for 0 degrees or better) Towel, toiletries, soap, toothbrush, etc.
Waders * (See Below) Compass / G.P.S.
Good Rain Gear (Jacket w/ hood and pants) Fly Vest
Long Underwear Knife / Hook File / Pliers
Good Water-Proof Camp Boots Bug Dope
Baseball Cap Camera, Camcorder
Wool Sweater Polarized Sunglasses
Wool Gloves and Heavy wool socks First Aid Kit
Extra set of clothes Flashlight


If you are going on an unguided float trip, only the fly-out and rafts are provided by KSG. You will need to provide your own tent, cooking equipment, etc. Refer to the Unguided Wilderness Float Trip page to see a list of available rental equipment. King Salmon Guides also strongly suggests that you bring your own water filter or purification tablets for drinking water. A 2 micron filter will remove all harmful bacteria.

*Waders

Good chest waders are very important. Neoprene, 2 millimeter are suggested. If you have Gortex waders, you need to have a pair of fleece pants or heavy long underwear underneath. Rubber waders are not recommended. If you need waders, you may purchaseor rent them through KSG.
