Accommodations before and after your trip
Most travel itineraries can get you to King Salmon in one day, however it is recommended that you stay overnight in Anchorage to assure that your bags arrive with you the following day in King Salmon. We suggest that you pick up your bags in Anchorage and hand check them at the airport the next morning. Alaska Wilderness Travel can arrange a hotel near the airport for your convenience. Reservations should be made well in advance. You may want to consider spending a night in King Salmon, after your float trip, to clean up and organize your gear. Arrival in King Salmon
Upon arrival in King Salmon, you will be met at the airport by a KSG representative, and escorted to our flyshop where you'll have an opportunity to organize your gear and purchase a fishing license. After a quick briefing, you'll be flown out to your destination of choice.
