Ptarmigan season opens August 10th and runs through October 5th. You must bring your own gun, ammo, and fishing gear. King Salmon Guides suggests either a 20 or 12 gauge shotgun used with upland game shot, Quail or Pheasant shot. You will also need to purchase an Alaska small game hunting license which is available in King Salmon for $15.00.

Cast & Blast Combos can be arranged in combination with any lodge-based packages.
